Registration is Open
As most of our Symbols parents know, our school year registration for 2017-2018 opened up just a couple of weeks ago. As expected, our tutors’ schedules began to quickly fill up. In fact, some of our tutors are already completely booked in their after school time slots. In order to make sure that you can still choose a schedule that will work well for you and your family, it is important to register as soon as possible. You’ll find everything you need to know about registration in this post, including how to register, the amount of the registration deposit, and other important dates.
How to Register
To register, please phone us or email us at any time. We typically reply to emails and voicemails on the same day that they are received, so as soon as you figure out what schedule might work for the fall, contact us! Remember – the sooner you register, the more likely you are to get the exact schedule you want!
If you plan to phone to register, please call 604.696.2030. Voicemails are time-stamped and sent directly to our email, so even if we do not directly answer your call, we will call you back very quickly.
Registration Deposit
To complete a registration we will be taking a non-refundable $150.00 deposit. This deposit will be fully credited to your Term 1 invoice; it is not an additional fee. If we have your credit card information in our system, the deposit will be charged to your card within a few days of registration. If we do not have your credit card information on file, we ask that you either provide your credit card information, or cash or a cheque, at the time of registration.

1-hour Lesson Start Times
This registration is for the entire 2017/2018 school year, beginning September 5th, 2017 and ending June 29th, 2018. Although our school year has two terms, terms are for billing purposes only; students are registered for the entire school year, unless we are given one month notice to end tutoring. Other important dates, including all days we are closed for statutory holidays, the Winter Break and our one week Spring Break, can be found on our online calendar.

Price Change
Effective September 5th, 2017, our rate will be increased by $2 per lesson (about a 3% increase) for all students. For the typical 2-lesson-per-week student, the price increase translates to at most an additional $16/month on our equal monthly payment, but for many students (especially those whose schedules fall on stat holidays), it will be less. This price increase is necessary to pay for a wage increase for our excellent tutors, and to offset other increased overhead costs we have been facing, particularly with our leases. This is just our 3rd price increase in our 11 year history.
